The International Association of animated Film or International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) recently completed its volume exceeding its 50 year history as an international organisation.

Hard covered the 256 page book is a deep look in the ASIFA organization and what it has done in years. The book contains a number of articles discussing ASIFA past, present and future as well as the relationship of the ASIFA with numerous animation festivals. Many regional chapters of the Organization have also documented in the book their beginnings and their activities.

Vesna Dovnikovic, Secretary General ASIFA writes, "it will be a nice book that was more necessary than for many years." And Deanna Morse, contact ASIFA education and criticism of the book, writing, "" I carefully read the entire book twice, and although it took several hours, I found it interesting and a good overview of our past 50 years. "" This book is more than 50 years in the making. It is a collection of articles and photos of past organizations.

The book is a stunning collection of articles that allow better understanding of an organization that has long been a part of the community of the animation. The ASIFA 50th anniversary book: the Art of Animation and the history of ASIFA will be available during the Festival of Film animation Annecy in the ASIFA Office located in Bonlieu, the main festival venue.
