Earth month following, environmentalist and adventurer, Céline Cousteau has continued the momentum of sustainability through its initiatives in the Inspiration of the ocean, with holiday present Contiki as one of the proud authors for its two events on May 18 & may 20. Contiki (http://www.contiki.com), business leader of travel in the world for 18-35 years, has recently announced their partnership with Céline in an effort to awareness of environmental issues, marine ecosystems particular and to help educate their passengers and the team through their designated ocean conservation projects.

The Contiki team members were thrilled to attend the Inspiration of the Ocean (http://www.oceaninspiration.net) Gala in New York, the first of two events organized by Céline in honour of the centenary of his grandfather and his legendary oceanographer Jacques-Yves Cousteau. Two generations of the Cousteau family, including his father, Jean-Michel Cousteau and his brother, Fabien Cousteau came in support of fundraising. Other scientists invited notable included explorers, filmmakers, artists and musicians who enjoys a full evening of inspired Coast show, dance sustainable cuisine, first viewing of the new film, "My father, the captain" and Live & auctions silent. In the gala celebration held at the sea Grill Rockefeller Plaza restaurant, the award "Ocean Advocate" were presented to militant comrades for their vision and innovation in support of protecting the world's oceans.

"The ocean advocates involved beyond all a passion for the life - aquatic, they include beauty & wonder of our fragile waters and as my grandfather said,"people protect what they love"," said Celine Cousteau. "They all know that we need to take action for the well-being of our planet and deserving individuals are on the incredible legacy of Jacques Cousteau and his mission continues by each of them.".

Following the gala, Contiki participated in a public forum held at the World Resources Institute in Washington, D.C., also hosted by Céline Cousteau. "The future of the oceans" Panel included conservation and marine biologists whose discussion focused on the consequences of the degradation of coral reefs, in support of their cause the reefs at risk initiative. The story tells of the session, "Stories of voyages of Jacques Cousteau" included Anne Marie Cousteau, the mother of Céline, who spoke frankly on the challenges it as a photographer of the women's expedition on the iconic vessel the Calypso more than 13 years.

Céline Cousteau undertakes in his new role as partner of sustainability with Contiki as part of the not-for-profit Corporation travel Conservation Foundation (http://www.ttcconservationfoundation.com). Together, they promote the causes of sustainability that are both on the cultural and ecologically important plan including the financing of two projects of marine protection - the Mesoamerican Reef Leadership program (http://www.marleaders.org) and Oceana (http://www.eu.oceana.org) of the valuable research in the Mediterranean.
