With golf season 2011 now booming, Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa has added even more exciting attributes to their 63 holes of golf of award-winning: the Golf Junior Academy and their Junior Golf program.
Known for their four championship golf grounds, composed of the North, South, East and General, award-winning Eagle Ridge course are deemed junior friendly, especially the 9-hole East course. The course is home to the curriculum of family PGA of the complex which helps make more enjoyable for players who are new to the game and provides a simple transition as the increase in the capacity of every golf player. Also, the program allows players of different abilities to draw similar results and encourages parents and children to gather for the course.
Eagle Ridge is associated its course East with the PGA and US Kid Club and promote more junior visiting golfers. The course is more short in length their courses of 18 holes to the North, South and general courses.
"The course is a course in a course for juniors with two sets of markers junior tee on each hole," explains Matt Romer, PGA Head Golf professional of Eagle Ridge.
Junior, aged less than 18 years, golfers play free of charge on East course station Monday to Thursday, when they have an adult paying with them. They are also met Friday to Sunday at a discount ranging from $ 15 to $ 40 depending on the course.
While the East course is designed with junior golfers in mind, Eagle Ridge is sponsoring a Golf Junior Academy every Saturday morning from June 11 to August 6, 2011. The Golf Junior Academy consists of clinics, lessons and tournaments, designed specifically for golf amateur ages 9-17. The sessions of clinic last 90 minutes and will include specific aspects of the game of golf. The fee is $20 per session / per student and includes training, beach balls and racing game.
The clinic schedule is listed below.
•June 11 lesson aims the intro of the label and put it in. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•June 18 lesson focuses on the chipping and pitching. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•June 25 lesson focus is on the full range of bat. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•July 2 lesson focus is placed on golf clubs wood. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•July 9 lesson focus is placed on the bunker play. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•July 16 lesson focuses on the work of the range. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•July 23 lesson focus is placed on the course management. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•July 30 lesson focuses on the work of the range. Session one is 8 h 30-10 h for the ages 12-17; and the second session of 10-11: 30 for youth ages 7-11.
•August 6 is a day of game and the tournament for all ages of the course is 8 h 30-10 h
Clinics are organized and taught by Michael Stewart, head professional education of the Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa. Michael has taught the royalty around the world and we are going to adopt international teaching experience and a background at the Eagle Ridge Junior Golf Academy. He has managed clubs and taught to the students over 25 years, in fifteen different countries, and had the opportunity to meet, teach and play with some of the most influential leaders of the world; including the former President of the United States George Bush Sr., former Philippine President Ramos, former President of the Indonesia Suharto, Spanish film star Alfonso Garcia and many other dignitaries.
