The pomp and pageantry of the middle ages is returned to life in the most recent app of Encyclopaedia Britannica Kids education.

Britannica Kids: Knights and castles conveys the magnitude and the pageantry of this era with a rich combination of images, games, and packaged the articles editors of Britannica. Users receive a complete picture of the medieval period with a blanket special chivalry, castles, combat armor and armament, tournaments, legends and fables. These topics are designed for children ages 8-13.

This program brings the Britannica apps Kids series, each offering treatment fun and interactive on a major topic of the science, history or social studies school. The series, created for the iPhone, the iPad, and iPod Touch, includes dinosaurs, solar system, the ancient Egypt, ancient Rome, snakes and more.

In addition to factual and engaging articles, applications include interactive games, such as a photographic memory, virtual jigsaw puzzles game, "brush-offs, photo" and square magic puzzles. These games and quizzes allow children to be tested on what they have learned.

"Applications have been a hit with children, parents and teachers," said John Russell, Director of the development of affairs for Encyclopaedia Britannica Kids. "The combination of popular topics and engaging features means children learn and have fun at the same time.".
