AmeriSpan Study Abroad announced that the "friend of AmeriSpan" military discount was increased by 15% for a limited time. This reduction is granted to the U.S. active military and veterans who apply for one of AmeriSpan study abroad programs. In addition, these discounts have been extended to the members of the immediate family of the recent and active military personnel.
The freedoms enjoyed by citizens of the United States are in large part because of the sacrifices and efforts of the members of the U.S. Armed Forces. Individual men and women in uniform and their families are in several events at which Americans average may not understand or relate to. These difficulties include emotional disorders, long separations from loved ones, financial challenges and serious physical injuries. AmeriSpan wants to thank and reward these men and women with their families for their efforts with a special military discount.
"Too often the sacrifices made by these troops and their families are not recognized or required for granted." Although a discount can match in any way that these heroes give everyone in America, we believe that our discount accomplishes two things. First of all, it will facilitate for veterans and the members of the family of our military men and women funded a study abroad experience. "Secondly, we believe that by offering the discount help us remind others who are not in service in the army at what point the chance that they are", explained John Slocum, co-founder of AmeriSpan.

The "friend of AmeriSpan" military discount is available for any program of AmeriSpan including College Study Abroad Programs eligible for academic credit (and GI Bill funds) such as the international Barcelona study popular, as well as any other program of AmeriSpan. Immediate family members are defined as children, spouses, siblings and parents of active or recently active military personnel and reservists. Order to claim the discount, participants in the study abroad must use the discount code "Military" in the implementation of a program and provide proof of their status (usually a copy of a military ID).
