Carbon NYC hosted its third 2011 show speaker event, featuring keynote speaker, Mr. Jack Devine of the Arkin at Armani Ristorante (717 Fifth Ave) group. Jack Devine is founding partner and President of the firm, which specializes in the management of international crises, strategic intelligence, investigation and business problem solving research. He is a veteran of 32 years of the Central Intelligence Agency ("CIA"). Mr. Devine served as Director a.i. and managing partner of CIA operations outside the United States, from 1993 to 1995, where he had supervisory authority over thousands of employees of the CIA involved in sensitive missions around the world. From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Devine was the main representative of CIA in Britain. In addition, he was head of the Latin America Division from 1992-1993 and was the main Manager of sensitive projects of the CIA in Latin America.
Between 1990 and 1992, Mr. Devine led the CIA Counternarcotics Center, which was to coordinate and build a close cooperation between all the major U.S. and foreign law enforcement agencies in the monitoring of narcotic drugs worldwide and criminal organizations. From 1985 to 1987, Mr. Devine the CIA Afghan Task Force, who successfully led Soviet aggression in the region. In 1987, he received a meritorious officer price the CIA for this achievement.
International experience of Mr. Devine with the U.S. Government included assignments in Latin America and Europe. More than 30 years with the CIA, Mr. Devine was involved in the Organization, planning and execution of countless sensitive projects in virtually all areas of intelligence, including analysis, operations, technology and management. He is the recipient of the Agency's distinguished intelligence Medal and several meritorious awards. He is a renowned intelligence expert and has written articles Op - Ed for the Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Miami Herald and the world policy Journal.
The series of conferences of the carbon show began in 2010 to bring speakers from a variety of industries, all leaders in their fields to share their knowledge and expertise on a variety of topics of business to international affairs.
