Katherine Beattie, scriptwriter of the short film COLLISION believes that everyone deserves a version of themselves where they are the heroes. But for people with disabilities, just roles there. COLLISION, currently in pre-production in Los Angeles, is the first film featured two female wheelchair rolling stock, in the main roles.
With a goal of $20,000 budget, the production team works feverishly to raise at least $10,000 on Kickstarter.com fundraising site on July 1. "COLLISION is more than a film, it is a movement away from stereotypes and stigmas concerning persons with disabilities in Hollywood," said Beattie. "With Kickstarter.com, we want to collect at least $10,000 more than promises of donations and $10,000 through private donations." This opportunity will allow us to change the way people with disabilities are perceived. "COLLISION is not to be in a wheelchair wheelchair - this is the life, love, laugh, winning and moving forward," added Beattie.
Kickstarter.com is a mentality all or nothing, requiring a period of time set for projects. COLLISION until July 1 at 8: PM is to raise $ 10,000, if not all donations are cancelled. To make a donation to visit http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1365110527/collision-0?ref=live
