Result of New Look Leadership Foundation the Usher Session with...

New Look Foundation, a not-for-profit organization founded by recording artist Usher (Usher Raymond IV), announces the first London training session a success.


In partnership with two-based in London, non-profit organizations The Brunswick Club for young people and the generation of LoveLife, New Look sponsored a program leadership training on 19 February in London. These three organizations share the same goals and objectives to provide a supportive and safe environment for young people to grow, develop and contribute to the community.


The leadership conference was conducted by a delegation of three of the mentors of youth of the New Look including James Harris in Kansas City, Kansas; Chase Browning of Atlanta, Georgia and Sebastian Van Oudenallen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.


The focus of the leadership training session was to help youth to find ways to use their creative talents to bring a positive impact in their community. In addition to the selected direction mentors and local, present participants were also: founding President [Usher Raymond IV, President of the Commission Shawn h. Wilson and member of the Scott Mead.]


Usher, explained the idea behind bringing young promising from the United States, in England, "to mentor youth as global leaders, we must keep out of their communities and their present leadership experiences at international level."


President Shawn Wilson has also expressed its satisfaction with the event successful, stating: "we are delighted to make the New Look London…and program model expect to see a positive impact in the community of London".


Member of the Council Scott Mead stressed the importance of the enlargement of the Foundation, "as a philanthropist, I acknowledge the work of Mr. Raymond has established through New Look as an invaluable resource for young people who have known the products…" [and] I feel privileged help expand its reach to London. »


The London training session was part of two years of the New Look, New Look Leadership Academy leadership program. The Academy program is offered at American high school junior and seniors who undergo a competitive assessment process. Are accepted based on a number of criteria, including indicators of: vulnerability, poverty, leadership, talent and interest for art, sports or entertainment industry.


Founded by bailiff in 1999, The New Look Foundation strives to address the many challenges facing young people today. With a decrease in continuous results of reviews national and growing of the challenges to enter the labour market, the New Look Foundation provides youth with a supportive environment to develop the skills of leadership to thrive as individuals. Also, the organization focuses on the transformation of youth in the resources of the force and the positive changes in their communities. After more than a decade, the New Look has created a strong Commission and active composed a number of seasoned professionals of various backgrounds, including Vice President of the Commission and counsel for entertainment Virgil Roberts, Treasurer of the Board of Directors and financial management consultant Solomon Smallwood, Board member and businessman Lorenzo Creighton and member of the Board and Senior Vice President of the National Hockey League Ken Yaffe.


To date, New Look Foundation has accumulated more than 150,000 hours of training for leadership and mentoring and has worked with more than 8 700 young people from, of the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia.
