Hollywood producer j. Herbert Klein celebrated 60 years Elks membership...

When the judge Herbert Klein joined the order of benevolent protection of Elks (B.P.O.E.) in 1951, the country is experiencing a boom of post-war - and Los Angeles Lodge # 99 is the ideal place to socialize and establish connections. June 14, Klein is famous as a member of the Elks of 60 years. "I joined the Elks flag day," Klein, 89, recalled. "My membership coincided with a ceremony of inspiration at the lodge honoring the stars and stripes.".

Created in 1868 to New York, the elk got her start when some artists are sought a place to gather on their day off. The Group has evolved into a fraternal organization - where members depend on them for help - and increased from a few individuals in a loge at almost a million people in the dressing rooms 2,000 throughout the country. The focus of Elks June 14 as flag day contributed to the possible designation of the date as a recognized party - legislation signed in 1949 by Harry s.
