CamGun is a nice way to use the camera on Android phones as a shot in the first person - style of Call of Duty. Mark Munsell, the developer says that users can "take their friends with a M4 rifle or a shotgun for SPAS12 and post on Facebook". The application also includes other weapons, such as the dual wielding SOCOM M23s, a blue Star Wars Light Saber, a double blade red light saber, an "egg grenade", an AK74u with camo Tiger and a red dot sight and a precision SR25 with a scope rifle thermal zoomed, "ideal for headshots", adds Munsell.
The look and feel of this app looks a lot like a first shot in an augmented reality, but it's more a photo as a real game app. A play in selecting the gun icon in the upper left corner, selecting firearms and it will appear on the screen in the same way as a shot in the first person. Then, take advantage of the screen to fire, or tap the icon to see the firearm reticle. Cycle through all the arms by exploiting the icon of the gun again. Press the camera icon to take a photo shot. This application is simple, which adds to the dependence of cycling by arms alone, listening to the bottling and shooting is close by.
CamGun also has optional parameters for the effects of blood (in the case that MOM gets panicked by blood), shooter and name target to be included in the photo. He also recorded an optional GPS position for geotag. CamGun can be used as a tool for humans VS Zombies or other assassin-like games. Using Foursquare or the Google Latitude to find your target and to document the shot, it is even more true. Photos are stored in the root directory of the SD card for future reference.
Munsell, who heads the Black Ops Pops video game development company, said they keep weapons adding more to the game and seek out with variations of the theme in the near future. Look for them in the Android market.
