In his home studio in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains, ceramist Rebeka Kahn creates bewitching the neckpieces, earrings and bracelets, loops each incorporating unique carved ceramic and glass elements inspired by his entourage & the clay itself.

Each piece of jewellery Rebeka Kahn is just as unique as the person who eventually porter. With all the elements in each creation singularly manufactured by hand, glazed and fired in home studio of Rebeka ceramic, each element receives the individual attention of the artist who deserves the bearer.

Rebeka said "I take much of my inspiration from the clay itself." Sometimes I just close my eyes and feel with clay, roll it between my fingers for some time and just allow the natural flow of clay tell me her story. »

"The clay came soil after thousands of years of layer after layer of mountains once beautifully coloured, rivers and organic materials such as rock and woods, carrying with it the whispers of his stories never be cheating..." Or maybe the clay is somehow tell its own story and secrets through my hands? ….. It may be clay that manipulates fact me and not the other way around? Who knows? ", said Rebeka

Also noted by Rebeka, "A voyage of reincarnation." take something that is so very old and transform it into something again, while it can become old and have a lifetime of any other new stories to tell, a new life on its past ancient

Rebeka goes on to say "I add glass and glazes to each element of the ceramics and two time-fire them my own ovens to, or outdoors in bright flames dramatic, great!" Hand forming each piece by choosing carefully the right glazes and glass, (I try to use recycled bottles of wine or beer, glass sherry!) This allows me to control all aspects of design, inspiration through final Polish right-wing. »

Finally, Rebeka naturally, noted "certain things you cannot control." As the natural elements that inspire designs, glass and ceramics often have a mind of their own and natural reactions in the process of cooking often create effects that we had not dreamed of and inspire new designs in turn. »

Each finished piece can take up to three weeks to create from the beginning to end.

Everything conspires to make each piece a work of art individually, as unique and special as the person who eventually porter. Each room is off in its own right.
