Stars from Disney Channel and Disney XD everywhere in the world teamed to participate in the "Disney friends for change games" to raise funds for the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and other participating charitable organizations and to encourage children to help the planet and their communities.
The first time on Disney Channel on June 24 and June 27 on Disney XD, the "Disney friends for change of games", a series of fun challenges, physical inspired by "green" actions every day, is committed to four teams who will play for global charities: fauna and Flora International, Ocean Conservancy, UNICEF and the WWF.
WWF is "Red team" and includes stars:
Captain: Mitchel Musso ("pair of Kings") Jake t. Austin ("wizards of Waverly Place") ("so random") Doug Brochu Kelsey Chow ("pair of Kings") Davis Cleveland ("Shake It Up") Dean Delannoit (Holland of Disney Channel and Belgium) Carlon Jeffrey ("Ant Farm") Zendaya ("Shake It Up").
In the "Friends Disney for game change", Disney will donate $ 125,000 to each charity and charity of the winning team will receive an additional amount of $100,000. Funds will help support WWF conservation efforts and help secure a future in which people live in harmony with nature.
"Places like the Great Plains of the northern part of our American heritage and are special for the people living there and well beyond." The wide open spaces and epic grandeur reflect the American spirit of freedom and are home to a large part of our unique wildlife and endangered. "A vote for the red team will help us to work together to protect people, species and the grasslands of this magical place and other places important and species around the world," said Martha Kauffman of the WWF, Director of the Northern Great Plains program.
WWF works in many vital areas to preserve and protect the habitats and species that live there. For example, the Great Plains of the North is home to hundreds of birds, butterflies and more than 90 mammals such as bison, antelope and black-footed ferret, one of the mammals more endangered in North America. People living in the prairie can trace their roots generations; centuries, even for the Indians. In the Great Plains of the North, we have a fleeting opportunity to retain and strengthen both the natural and cultural heritage of America.
