The 36th Edition of the ODUNDE Festival, a long four day African and Afro-American cultural event whose programs reach audiences of more than 500,000 people, organizers will host a free, one-hour-long Zumba ® fitness classes, in the hope of breaking the Record for the world Guinness with more than 1 500 participants expected.

Clemson University, has also recently dated May 16, 2011, holds the title of largest Zumba ® class training approximately 1,294 people who participated.

Register on-site starting at 9 am, with the start of the class at 10: 00, Saturday, June 11, the Finnesey field on the campus of the University of Saint Joseph. Local dance and instructor Zumba ® Jena Renee Rogers P.U.S.H. (so far to this success happens) will teach the participants dance moves and actions. Participants must be aged 16 years and will receive a free, commemorative t-shirt celebration.

Zumba ® is a dance fitness program created by dancer and choreographer Alberto "beto" Perez, Colombia, in the 1990s. The program combines international music, including salsa, meringue, cumbia and reggaeton, dance, in an effort to make exercise fun. Since its creation in the mainstream, the Zumba ® program has grown to become the largest programme - and the greatest success - dance-fitness, with more than 12 million people participating in weekly classes, at 110,000 locations spanning more than 125 countries.

ODUNDE festival, has acquired a national reputation as one of the brightest cultural jewels of Philadelphia. The word ODUNDE was born with the people of Yoruba of Nigeria, West Africa and means "happy new year." The annual festival is an opportunity, marked by the joy and hope. The last day of the celebration, participants take a procession of the Schuylkill River where made offerings of fruit and flowers to Oshun, the Yoruba of the River goddess. After the procession to the River, the celebration of new year African begins with a variety of suppliers, craftsmen, artists and the performers.
